BZLC series wind turbine pitch motors are specially developed DC series-wound motors for blade pitch systems. They deliver very high starting torque, strong overload capacity, and smooth, linear speed regulation to guarantee safe and accurate blade angle adjustment under changing wind conditions.
Based on Retek Motion’s experience in wind power applications, the BZLC series is engineered for long service life in harsh onshore and offshore environments. Typical designs feature protection class IP54, F-class insulation, B5 flange mounting, and IC416 forced-ventilation cooling. The motors operate reliably at altitudes from 0–2000 m with ambient temperatures from −35°C to +55°C and relative humidity from 5% to 95%. This makes them suitable for cold-climate and coastal wind farms where moisture, dust, and salt spray are common.
The compact structure and robust mechanical design offer excellent resistance to vibration and shock loads from turbine yaw and emergency stops. Various brake options, tachogenerators, and encoders can be configured to match different pitch control systems, providing precise speed and position feedback for each blade. Standard voltage and power ratings cover mainstream 1 .X–3.X MW wind turbine platforms, and customized designs are available on request.
Each motor is 100% tested before shipment, including load performance, insulation, high-voltage withstand, and dynamic balance tests, to ensure consistent quality from batch to batch.
