Description
YF EJ series IP54/IP55 three-phase asynchronous motors from Baolei Electric are specially engineered for wind turbine yaw systems. The motors deliver reliable torque in S3 duty, supporting precise nacelle positioning under highly dynamic and intermittent loads. Rated power covers 1.1–7.5 kW with 4-pole and 6-pole options, providing flexible speed and torque combinations for different turbine sizes.
The motors are designed for 400/690 V grid or inverter supply and can operate on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems. A fully enclosed IP54 housing (IP55 optional) and IC411 self-ventilated cooling ensure reliable operation in harsh onshore and offshore environments with ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +55 °C and relative humidity up to 100%.
YF EJ yaw motors adopt F-class insulation with temperature rise checked to class B, low-vibration R-grade design according to ISO 2373, and double-sealed low-noise ball bearings from premium brands such as NSK and SKF for long life. Optional electromagnetic fail-safe or power-on brakes (35–120 Nm) offer dependable holding torque with friction plate life ≥300,000 operations.
To enhance system protection, the motors can be equipped with space heaters, PTC thermistors, PT100 temperature sensors, and thermal switches. A three-layer coating system or high-temperature baking paint provides superior corrosion resistance for coastal and offshore installations.
